1. What’s your real name and DJ Name?
Tony Dj Stylus, Paul Dj Guinea

2. How did you get into DJing?
From DJ Stylus cousin. He was a big nightclub dj back in the days

3. What inspired you to become a DJ?
The love of music and listening to late night radio back in the 80s

4. What do you enjoy most about DJing?
Its our passion. We love when the crowd is grooving to our tunes

5. How would you describe your music style and what makes it unique?
We mainly play tech house and Funky Groovy and incorporate classic house

6. What has been your favorite gig or event to play at so far?
Our favourite gigs were playing Mad Bar and Money Nightclub. Guinea also played popular Toronto venues like century room, the mod club and also ghost bar in niagara falls

7. Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
We have many but we have to say Toronto legends Chris Sheppard and Mark Oliver. Other global influences include the likes of dj sneak, roger Sanchez, Danny tenaglia to name a few

8. Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or releases you have coming up?
Right now we are focused on Twitch but there will be some upcoming gigs shortly

9. How do you stay up to date with new music and trends in the industry?
We are constantly on beatport and traxsource. We also get a lot of promos directly from the labels and many producers.

10. What advice do you have for aspiring DJs?
Do it for the love of the music. It’s not only about the fame. There is still alot of work and preparation to master the craft.

11. How do you think the role of a DJ has changed over the years?
Djing is more accessible these days and moving to digital (cds, mp3s) has changed the game. We have adapted over the years but when we starting djing back in 90s, our only option was 1200s and playing vinyl. Now there are many controllers and reasonable prices and music is easier to purchase.

12. How long have you been streaming on Twitch?
1 year

13. Who are your favorite Streamers and why?
We appreciate all streamers and over the year we have made great friendships with many of them.

14. Did covid and recent lock-downs influence you to start streaming on Twitch?
Absolutely
