1. What’s your real name and DJ Name?
(prefer not to disclose this but if needs must) haha Bufyn Beavers

2. How did you get into DJing?
Bought a set of Gemini XL500s when I was 18

3. What inspired you to become a DJ?
Frequenting lots of events such as “Cream” and “Bugged out “at “Nation”in Liverpool, Sankeys in Manchester and and rave events like “Helter Skelter” at bowlers in Manchester made me want to do It. Most importantly my pure love of music!

4. What do you enjoy most about DJing?
Discovering new tracks, and sharing the joy of the tracks with people that share the taste with me.

5. How would you describe your music style and what makes it unique? Funky Jackin house. I tend to veer into a lot of disco based stuff also. I try to pick out really happy “feel good” vibes, but also swerve into the thumping “bass face” Jackin 😁

6. What has been your favorite gig or event to play at so far?
Probably El Bario Cantina in long beach. Getting to play internationally alongside such great talents like Ric Viera and Ramon Valdez was amazing. Not to mention it was a great crowd all with the same tastes!

7. Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
I have so many it’s hard to list. I don’t just listen to dance music, I have such a wide variety of music I listen to it’s hard to say. House music wise it has to be DJ sneak, Derrick Carter and Mark farina. The OGs!

8. Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or releases you have coming up?
I have a new track recently signed to “funky revival” due out in Feb, and one sighed to Juiced Music that’s due out shortly, date Tbc, look forward to the releases! Hopefully going to do my first collab with Marshall UK at Done Point too, which I’m very excited about!

9. How do you stay up to date with new music and trends in the industry?
I’m always on the hunt for new music. Every day, whether in the shopping centre and I hear a song on the speakers or daily searches of music sites. Hunting for new music is an addiction! I’m not to bothered about trends. I’ve always done my own thing, something I really like and believe in!

10. What advice do you have for aspiring DJs?
Don’t doubt yourself and get knocking on doors. The best piece of advice I saw recently was “get out and put yourself out there. There are loads of people with less talent or skill than you out there doing it, so get out there”. have self belief!

11. How do you think the role of a DJ has changed over the years?
Depends on the type of DJ really. Varying from the wedding /local pub DJ to the big nightclub. I think technology has changed it a lot. I love the digital age, it’s great and convenient, and love the tech, but also like the idea of earning your stripes by getting a set of turntables and learning the art.

12. How long have you been streaming on Twitch?
Probably around the 2019/2020 Mark. I started Streaming on Facebook and periscope first, but then when they started cutting the streams from copyright, therefore I moved over.

13. Who are your favorite Streamers and why?
I have a few : 1. Rory Northall – IMO the best musical selector there is on twitch. Also Mixes with vinyl sometimes, not only house but hiphop, and has an endless catalogue. He streams 6 hours every week and I don’t think I’ve heard the same track twice (apart from his productions) 2. Frank Amodo – not only great music selection, but great unique mixing to try and change it up. What makes frankamodo stand out are the top tier interactive visuals he has in his stream. Trailblazing! 3. Bradley Be (we love house music). Always amazing music every time and really interactive with chatters, very professional stream too.

14. Did covid and recent lock-downs influence you to start streaming on Twitch?
As I was already doing it, not really! (I did it before it was cool) 😂😂 but I love the way it brought so many people back out to streaming. I have made life long friends from my twitch fam ♥

15. Anything else you want to add? Good time to shamelessly promote yourself.
Keep an eye out for more productions coming on Traxsource and Beatport, and Check out Jackin sessions most Saturday nights on my twitch channel, you can Meet the legends I’ve mentioned above. An awesome bunch of amazing people ♥️
